Summary: Collection consists of Delgado family papers, military papers, business records, and land grant documents concerning the Mora and Chama Land Grants. Family papers consist of documents from the settlement of estates for Antonio Delgado (1740-1771) and Simon Delgado (1867), and an inventory of the estate of Manuel Delgado (1854). Military papers include orders and other documents concerning Fort Fauntleroy (N.M.), Captain Jose D. Sena of the U.S. Army (1861-1863), the Permanent Cavalry 2 of the Mexican Army, and two companies of U.S. New Mexico Volunteers. Business papers include correspondence of Pablo and Manuel Delgado, Simon Delgado's accounts, accounts of Dolores Talomo (1833-1854), mining deeds and locations (1878-1884), and various other accounts from San Miguel del Bado and the Real del Tuerto mine. Land grant materials include a letter by Amado Chaves and a genealogy of Tomasita and Antonio Aba. Miscellaneous papers consist of documents from one Santa Fe County district court civil case (1870) and one Valencia County district court civil case (1890). Military papers pertain to the Permanent Calvary 2 of the Mexican Army and two companies of U.S. New Mexico Volunteers.
